エレミヤ書５２章
ゼデキヤが統治を始めた時、彼は12歳でした。
そして、彼はエルサレムで11年間統治しました。
彼の母親の名前はハムタル、リブナのエレミヤの娘でした。
1 ゼデキヤは二十一歳で王となり、エルサレムで十一年間、王であった。彼の母の名はハムタルといい、リブナの出のエレミヤの娘であった。
そして、彼は、すべてエホヤキムが行いましたように、主の目に悪とされることを行いました。
2 彼は、すべてエホヤキムがしたように、主の目の前に悪を行いました。
それは、主の怒りによってエルサレムとユダでこのようなことが起こり、ついには主が彼らを御前から追い出されたからです。
そして、ゼデキヤはバビロンの王に反逆しました。
3 エルサレムとユダにこのようなことが起こったのは、主の怒りによるもので、ついに主は彼らを御前から投げ捨てられたのです。そののち、ゼデキヤはバビロンの王に反逆した。
そして、バビロンの王ネブカデレザルは、その治世の第九年、十の月の十日に、全軍を率いてエルサレムに来て、陣を張りました。
そして、彼らは周囲にそれに対して砦を築きました。
4 ゼデキヤの治世の第九年、第十の月の十日に、バビロンの王ネブカデレザルは、その全軍勢を率いてエルサレムを攻めに来て、これに対して陣を敷き、周囲に塁を築いた。
こうしてその町はゼデキヤ王の第十一年まで包囲されました。
5 こうして町はゼデキヤ王の第十一年まで包囲されていたが、
第四の月の九日、町では飢餓がひどくなり、その地の民に与えるパンがなくなりました。
6 第四の月の九日、町の中では、ききんがひどくなり、民衆の食物がなくなった。
その時、町に裂け目ができたので、すべての兵士は逃げ出し、王の庭のそばにあった二つの城壁の間にある門を通って、夜のうちに町の外へ出て行いました。
周囲の都市を攻撃し、彼らはアラバの道を通りました。
7 その時、町が破られ、戦士達はみな逃げて、夜のうちに、王の園のほとりにある二重の城壁の間の門の道から町を出た。カルデヤ人が町を包囲していたので、彼らはアラバへの道を行いました。
しかし、カルデヤ人の軍隊は王を追って、エリコの平野でゼデキヤに追いつきました。そして、彼の軍隊はすべて彼から離れて散り散りになりました。
8 カルデヤの軍勢が王のあとを追い、エリコの草原でゼデキヤに追いついた時、王の軍隊はみな王から離れて散ってしまった。
そこで、彼らは王を捕らえ、ハマトの地のリブラにあるバビロンの王のところまで連れて行いました。そして、彼に裁きを下しました。
9 そこでカルデヤ人は王を捕らえ、ハマテの地のリブラにいるバビロンの王のところへ彼を連れ上った。バビロンの王は彼に宣告を下した。
そして、バビロンの王はゼデキヤの息子達を目の前で殺しました。
彼はリブラでユダの王子達も皆殺しにしました。
10 バビロンの王は、ゼデキヤの子らを彼の目の前で虐殺し、ユダのすべての首長達をリブラで虐殺した。
そして、彼はゼデキヤの目を消し去りました。
すると、バビロンの王は彼を足かせにつなぎ、バビロンに運び、死ぬまで牢獄に入れておきました。
11 また、ゼデキヤの目をつぶし、彼を青銅の足かせにつないだ。バビロンの王は、彼をバビロンへ連れて行き、彼を死ぬ日まで獄屋に入れておいた。
さて、バビロンの王ネブカデレザル王の治世の第五の月、その月の十日、バビロンの王の前に立っていた衛兵の長ネブザルアダンがエルサレムに来ました。
12 第五の月の十日―それは、バビロンの王ネブカデレザル王の第十九年であった。―バビロンの王に仕えていた侍従長ネブザルアダンがエルサレムに来て、
そこで、彼は主の家と王の家を焼き払いました。
そして、エルサレムのすべての家、すべての偉人の家さえもそれらを火で焼きました。
13 主の宮と王宮とエルサレムのすべての家を焼き、そのおもだった建物をことごとく火で焼いた。
そして、守備隊の長とともにいたカルデア人の全軍は、エルサレムの周囲のすべての城壁を打ち破りました。
14 侍従長といっしょにいたカルデヤの全軍勢は、エルサレムの回りの城壁を全部取りこわした。
そこで、衛兵の長ネブザルアダンは、最も貧しい民の捕虜と、町に残った民の残りの民と、バビロンの王の手に落ちて散った民の残りの者達と、民の残りの者達を大勢、運び去りました。
15 侍従長ネブザルアダンは、民の貧民の一部と、町に残されていた残りの民と、バビロンの王に降伏した者達と、残りの群衆を捕らえ移した。
しかし、衛兵の長ネブザルアダンは、国の最も貧しい人々をブドウ栽培者や農夫として残しました。
16 しかし、侍従長ネブザルアダンは、国の貧民の一部を残し、ぶどう作りと農夫とにした。
また、主の宮にあった青銅の柱と、主の宮にあった台座と青銅の海は、カルデア人によって砕かれて、彼らの青銅はすべてバビロンに持ち去られた。
17 カルデヤ人は、主の宮の青銅の柱と、主の宮にある青銅の車輪つきの台と、海とを砕いて、その青銅をみなバビロンへ運んだ。
灰つぼ、十能、心切りばさみ、鉢、平皿、およびそれらを使用するすべての青銅の器もそれらから持ち去られました。
18 また、灰つぼ、十能、心切りばさみ、鉢、平皿、奉仕に用いるすべての青銅の器具を奪った。
また、杯、火鍋、たらい、なべ、燭台、なべ、鉢も、金のものは金で、銀のものは銀でした。 ――衛兵隊長が持ち去りました。
19 また、侍従長は小鉢、火皿、鉢、灰つぼ、燭台、平皿、水差しなど、純金、純銀のものを奪った。
ソロモン王が主の宮のために造った二本の柱、一つの海、その台座の下にある十二頭の青銅の雄牛、これらすべての器の青銅には重さは量り切れませんでした

柱については、一本の柱の高さは十八キュビトでした。
そして、12キュビトの線がそれを取り囲んでいました。
その厚さは指４本分でした。それは空洞でした。
21 その柱は、一本の柱の高さが十八キュビトで、その回りを量るには十二キュビトのひもがいり、その厚さは指四本分で、中は空洞になっていた。
そして、その上に真鍮の柱頭がありました。
一つの柱頭の高さは五キュビトで、柱頭の周りには網目模様とザクロがあり、すべて真鍮製でした。
そして、二番目の柱にもこれと同じようにザクロがありました。
22 その上に青銅の柱頭があり、一つの柱頭の高さは五キュビトであり、柱頭の回りに、網細工とざくろがあって、それもみな青銅で、他の柱もざくろもこれと同様であった。
外側にはザクロが九十六個ありました。
ザクロはすべて回りの網細工の上に100個ありました。
23 回りには九十六のざくろがあり、回りの網細工の上には全部で百のざくろがあった。
そこで、衛兵の長は祭司長セラヤ、次祭司ゼパニヤ、および門の番人三人を連れて行いました。
24 侍従長はさらに、祭司のかしらセラヤと次席祭司ゼパニヤと三人の入り口を守る者を捕らえ、
そして、彼は、軍人達を指揮する将校を連れて町の外に出ました。
そして、王の顔を見た者のうち七人が市内で発見されました。
そして、土地の人々を集めた軍の将軍の書記官。
そして、その土地の人々のうち30名が市の真ん中で発見されました。
25 戦士の指揮官であったひとりの宦官と、町にいた王の七人の側近と、一般の人々を徴兵する将軍の書記と、町の中にいた一般の人々六十人を、町から捕らえ去った。
そこで、衛兵の長ネブザルアダンは彼らを捕らえて、リブラにいるバビロンの王のもとに連れて行いました。
26 侍従長ネブザルアダンは彼らを捕らえ、リブラにいるバビロンの王のもとに連れて行いました。
そこで、バビロンの王はハマトの地のリブラで彼らを打ち殺しました。
こうして、ユダは捕虜として国から連れ去られました。
27 バビロンの王は彼らを打ち、ハマテの地のリブラで殺した。
こうして、ユダはその国から捕らえ移された。
これがネブカデレザルが捕虜として連れ去った民です。
七年目には、ユダヤ人３０２３人。
28 ネブカデレザルが捕らえ移した民の数は次のとおり。
第七年には、三千二十三人のユダヤ人。
ネブカドレザルの治世十八年、エルサレム出身、８３２人。
29 ネブカデレザルの第十八年には、エルサレムから八百三十二人。
ネブカデレザル・ネブザルアダンの治世２３年に、衛兵の長はユダヤ人７４５人を捕虜として連行しました。人数は全員で４６００人であった。
30 ネブカデレザルの第二十三年には、侍従長ネブザルアダンが、七百四十五人のユダヤ人を捕らえ移し、その合計は四千六百人であった。
そして、ユダの王エホヤキンが捕囚になってから七年目、十二月の五日二十日、バビロンの王エビル・メロダクがその治世の初年に起こった。 治世中、ユダの王エホヤキンの首を持ち上げて釈放し、牢獄から連れ出しました。
31 ユダの王エホヤキンが捕らえ移されて三十七年目の第十二の月の二十五日に、バビロンの王エビル・メロダクは、彼が即位した年のうちに、ユダの王エホヤキンを釈放し、獄屋から出し、
そして、彼は親切に彼に話しかけ、自分の王座をバビロンで彼と一緒にいた王達の王座の上に置きました。
32 彼に優しいことばをかけ、彼の位をバビロンで彼とともにいた王達の位よりも高くした。
そして、彼は囚人服を着替えて、生涯を通じて絶えず王の目の前でパンを食べました。
33 彼は囚人の服を着替え、その一生の間、いつも王の前で食事をした。
そして、彼の手当として、バビロンの王から、彼の生涯を通じて、死ぬまで毎日少しずつ手当が与えられました。
34 彼の生活費は、死ぬ日までその一生の間、日々の分をいつもバビロンの王から支給されていた。

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
3 For through the anger of the LORD did it come to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until He had cast them out from His presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.
5 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
6 In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
7 Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden--now the Chaldeans were against the city round about--and they went by the way of the Arabah.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
9 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment upon him.
10 And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes; he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
11 And he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem;
13 and he burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great man's house, burned he with fire.
14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
15 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest sort of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the residue of the multitude.
16 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
17 And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases and the brazen sea that were in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldeans break in pieces, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
18 The pots also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the pans, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
19 And the cups, and the fire-pans, and the basins, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the pans, and the bowls--that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver--the captain of the guard took away.
20 The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve brazen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made for the house of the LORD--the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
21 And as for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a line of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers; it was hollow.
22 And a capital of brass was upon it; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of brass; and the second pillar also had like unto these, and pomegranates.
23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on the outside; all the pomegranates were a hundred upon the network round about.
24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door;
25 and out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war; and seven men of them that saw the king's face, who were found in the city; and the scribe of the captain of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
26 And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
27 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty;
29 in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar, from Jerusalem, eight hundred thirty and two persons;
30 in the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons; all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.
32 And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon.
33 And he changed his prison garments, and did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life.
34 And for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
