創世記８章 翻訳途中
そして、神はノアと、すべての生き物と、彼と一緒に箱舟にいたすべての家畜を覚えておられました。
2 深淵の泉も、天の窓も止められ、天からの雨も止めました。
3 水は絶え間なく地から帰り、百五十日の後、水は少なくなりました。
4 箱は第七の月、その十七日にアララトの山の上にとどまって休息しました。
5 水は第十の月まで減り続け、第十の月、その月の一日に、山々の頂が見えました。
6 そして、四十日の末に、ノアは作った箱舟の窓を開けました。
7 彼は一羽のからすを送り出すと、水が地から乾くまで、それは行ったり来たりしていました。
8 また、彼は鳩をつかわして、水が地の面からやわらかくなったかどうかを確かめました。
9 しかし、鳩は足の裏を休めることができず、彼のもとに帰ってきて、箱舟の中に入りました。
10 彼はさらに七日とどまり、また、箱舟から鳩を出しました。
11 その鳩は夕暮れに彼のもとにもどって来ましたが、見よ！その口には、もぎたてのオリーブの葉があり、それでノアは水が地上からひいた｛やんだ｝ことを知りました。
12 彼はさらに七日とどまって、鳩を送り出しましたが、鳩はもう彼のもとに帰って来ませんでした。
13 そして、六百一年目の第一の月、その月の一日に、水が地から干上がったので、ノアは箱舟の覆いを取って見ると、見よ！地表は乾いていました。
14 第二の月、その七日と二十日に地は乾いていました。
15 そして、神はノアに語りかけて言いました。
16 「あなたとあなたの妻とあなたの子達とあなたの子達の妻は、箱舟から出なさい！
17 あなたといっしょにいるすべての肉なるもの、鳥、家畜、および地を這うすべての這うものを連れて行き来なさい！
そうすれば、彼らは地に群がり、実を結び、地に殖えられるだろう。」
18 そこで、ノアは出て行き、その息子達、彼の妻、およびその息子達の妻も一緒に出て行きました。
19 すべての獣、すべての這うもの、すべての鳥、地の上を動くものは、その家族にならって箱舟から出ました。
20 ノアは主のために祭壇を築き、すべての清い獣とすべての清い鳥を取り、祭壇の上に全焼のいけにえを捧げました。
21 主はその香ばしいにおいをかいで言われました。
「わたしはもう、人間のために地を呪うことはない。
人間の心の想像はその若い時から悪いからだ。
また、わたしはもう、生きているすべてのものを、かつてしたように打つことはない。
22 地が残っている間は、種蒔きと収穫、寒さと暑さ、夏と冬、昼と夜が絶えることはない。」
1 神は、ノアと、箱舟の中に彼といっしょにいたすべての獣や、すべての家畜とを心に留めておられた。それで、神が地の上に風を吹き過ぎさせると、水は引き始めた。
2 また、大いなる水の源と天の水門が閉ざされ、天からの大雨が、とどめられた。
3 そして、水は、しだいに地から引いていった。水は百五十日の終わりに減り始め、
4 箱舟は、第七の月の十七日に、アララテの山の上にとどまった。
5 水は第十の月まで、ますます減り続け、第十の月の一日に、山々の頂が現れた。
6 四十日の終わりになって、ノアは、自分の造った箱舟の窓を開き、
7 烏を放った。するとそれは、水が地からかわききるまで、出たり、戻ったりしていた。
8 また、彼は水が地の面から引いたかどうかを見るために、鳩を彼のもとから放った。
9 鳩は、その足を休める場所が見あたらなかったので、箱舟の彼のもとに帰ってきた。彼は手を差し伸べて鳩を捕らえ、箱舟の自分のところに入れた。
10 それからなお七日待って、再び鳩を箱舟から放った。
11 鳩は夕方になって、彼のもとに帰ってきた。すると見よ。むしり取ったばかりのオリーブの若葉がそのくちばしにあるではないか。それで、ノアは水が地から引いたのを知った。
12 それからなお、七日待って、彼は鳩を放った。鳩はもう彼のところに戻って来なかった。
13 ノアの生涯の第六百一年の第一の月の一日になって、水は地上からかわき始めた。ノアが、箱舟のおおいを取り去って、ながめると、見よ、地の面は、かわいていた。
14 第二の月の二十七日、地はかわききった。
15 そこで、神はノアに告げて仰せられた。
16 「あなたは、あなたの妻と、あなたの息子たちと、息子たちの妻といっしょに箱舟から出なさい。
17 あなたといっしょにいるすべての肉なるものの生き物、すなわち鳥や家畜や地をはうすべてのものを、あなたといっしょに連れ出しなさい。それらが地に群がり、地の上で生み、そしてふえるようにしなさい。」
18 そこで、ノアは、息子たちや彼の妻や、息子たちの妻といっしょに外に出た。
19 すべての獣、すべてのはうもの、すべての鳥、すべての地の上を動くものは、おのおのその種類にしたがって、箱舟から出て来た。
20 ノアは、主のために祭壇を築き、すべてのきよい家畜と、すべてのきよい鳥のうちから幾つかを選び取って、祭壇の上で全焼のいけにえをささげた。
21 主は、そのなだめのかおりをかがれ、主は心の中でこう仰せられた。「わたしは、決して再び人のゆえに、この地をのろうことはすまい。人の心の思い計ることは、初めから悪であるからだ。わたしは、決して再び、、わたしがしたように、すべての生き物を打ち滅ぼすことはすまい。
22 地の続くかぎり、種蒔きと刈り入れ、寒さと暑さ、夏と冬、昼と夜とは、やむことはない。」
And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually; and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.
7 And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8 And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him to the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her in unto him into the ark.
10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.
11 And the dove came in to him at eventide; and lo in her mouth an olive-leaf freshly plucked; so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; and she returned not again unto him any more.
13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dried.
14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dry.
15 And God spoke unto Noah, saying:
16 'Go forth from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee of all flesh, both fowl, and cattle, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may swarm in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.'
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him;
19 every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, whatsoever moveth upon the earth, after their families; went forth out of the ark.
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt-offerings on the altar.
21 And the LORD smelled the sweet savour; and the LORD said in His heart: 'I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.'
