創世記６章
そして、人が地の上に増え始め、その人達に娘が生まれました。
2 神の子らは人の娘達が美しいのを見て、自分達の選んだ者を妻にしました。
3 主は言われました。
「わたしの霊はいつまでも人にとどまらない。
彼もまた肉であるから、その日数は百二十年である。」
創世記６章４節
ネフィリムが地上にいたこれらの日々の中で、そしてまたそのあとも、
神の子達が人の娘達のところに来た時、彼らに子を彼らが産みました。
これらの者達には、昔の力ある者達や名声ある者達がいました。
ネフィリムが地上にいた｛カル態完了形｝これらの日々の中で、そしてまたそのあとも、神｛複数形｝の子達が人の娘達のところに来た｛カル態未完了形｝時、彼らに｛子｝を彼らが産みました。｛カル態完了形｝
これらの者達には、昔の力ある者達や名声ある者達がいました。
5 主は人の悪が地に大きく、その心の思いのすべての想像が絶えず悪であることを見られました。
6 主は人を地に造られたことを悔い、その心で悲しまれました。
7 そこで、主は言われまし。
「わたしは、わたしが造った人間を地の面から消し去ろう。
人間も、獣も、這うものも、空の鳥も、彼らを造ったことをわたしは悔い改めるからである。」
8 しかし、ノアは主の目に恵みを見いだしました。
9 これらはノアの世代である。
ノアはその代に、正しく、心を尽くしている人であり、ノアは神とともに歩みました。
10 ノアは三人の子、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生みました。
11 地は神の前に腐敗し、地は暴力に満ちあふれていました。
12 神は地を見られましたが、見よ！それは堕落｛腐敗｝していました。
すべての肉なる者が地の上でその道を堕落させてしまったたからです。
13 神はノアに言われました。
「すべての肉の終わりはわたしの前に来ている。
地は彼らによって暴力に満ち、見よ！わたしは彼らを地とともに滅ぼす。
14 あなたはゴフェルの木で箱舟を造り、その部屋を使って箱舟を造り、その内側と外側に木のやにを塗りなさい！
14 あなたは自分のために、ゴフェルの木の箱舟を造りなさい。箱舟に部屋を作り、内と外とを木のやにで塗りなさい。
15 箱の長さは三百キュビト、幅は五十キュビト、高さは三十キュビトです。
16 あなたは箱の上に灯を立て、それを上方に1キュビトに仕上げ、箱の戸をそのわきに設け、下階、上階、下階とすること。
17 わたしは、見よ！水の洪水を地の上に起こし、天の下から、命の息のあるすべての肉を滅ぼし、地にあるすべてのものを滅ぼす。
18 しかし、わたしはあなたと契約を結ぶ。
あなたは箱舟に入り、あなたと、あなたの子らと、あなたの妻と、あなたの子供達の妻はあなたと共にいるべきである。
19 また、すべての肉なるもののうち、あらゆる種類のものを、二人ずつ箱舟に入れ！あなたと共に生かしておかなければならない。
20 種類の後の鳥、種類の後の家畜、および種類の後の地のすべての這うもののうち、種類ごとに二人をあなたのところに連れて来て、これらを生かしておかなければならない。
21 また、食べるすべての食物をあなたのところに持って行き、あなたのところに集めなさい！それはあなたと彼らのための食物である。」
22 こうしてノアは実行しました。
神が彼に命じられたすべての事にしたがって、彼は実行しました。
1 さて、人が地上にふえ始め、彼らに娘達が生まれたとき、
2 神の子らは、人の娘達が、いかにも美しいのを見て、その中から好きな者を選んで、自分達の妻とした。
3 そこで、主は、「わたしの霊は、永久には人のうちにとどまらないであろう。それは人が肉にすぎないからだ。それで人の齢は、百二十年にしよう」と仰せられた。
4 神の子らが、人の娘達のところに入り、彼らに子どもができたころ、またその後にも、ネフィリムが地上にいた。これらは、昔の勇士であり、名のある者達であった。
5 主は、地上に人の悪が増大し、その心に計ることがみな、いつも悪いことだけに傾くのをご覧になった。
6 それで主は、地上に人を造ったことを悔やみ、心を痛められた。
7 そして主は仰せられた。「わたしが創造した人を地の面から消し去ろう。人をはじめ、家畜やはうもの、空の鳥に至るまで。わたしは、これらを造ったことを残念に思うからだ。」
8 しかし、ノアは、主の心にかなっていた。
9 これはノアの歴史である。ノアは、正しい人であって、その時代にあっても、全き人であった。ノアは神とともに歩んだ。
10 ノアは三人の息子、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。
11 地は、神の前に堕落し、地は、暴虐で満ちていた。
12 神が地をご覧になると、実に、それは、堕落していた。すべての肉なるものが、地上でその道を乱していたからである。
13 そこで、神はノアに仰せられた。「すべての肉なるものの終わりが、わたしの前に来ている。地は、彼らのゆえに、暴虐で満ちているからだ。それで今わたしは、彼らと地とともに滅ぼそうとしている。
14 あなたは自分のために、ゴフェルの木の箱舟を造りなさい。箱舟に部屋を作り、内と外とを木のやにで塗りなさい。
15 それを次のようにして造りなさい。箱舟の長さは三百キュビト。その幅は五十キュビト。その高さは三十キュビト。
16 箱舟に天窓を作り、上部から一キュビト以内にそれを仕上げなさい。また、箱舟の戸口をその側面に設け、一階と二階と三階にそれを作りなさい。
17 わたしは今、いのちの息あるすべての肉なるものを、天の下から滅ぼすために、地上の大水、大洪水を起こそうとしている。地上のすべてのものは死に絶えなければならない。
18 しかし、わたしは、あなたと契約を結ぼう。あなたは、あなたの息子達、あなたの妻、それにあなたの息子達の妻といっしょに箱舟に入りなさい。
19 またすべての生き物、すべての肉なるものの中から、それぞれ二匹ずつ箱舟に連れて入り、あなたといっしょに生き残るようにしなさい。それらは、雄と雌でなければならない。
20 また、各種類の鳥、各種類の動物、各種類の地をはうものすべてのうち、それぞれ二匹ずつが、生き残るために、あなたのところに来なければならない。
21 あなたは、食べられるあらゆる食糧を取って、自分のところに集め、あなたとそれらの動物との食物としなさい。」
22 ノアは、すべて神が命じられたとおりにし、そのように行った。
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives, whomsoever they chose.
3 And the LORD said: 'My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for that he also is flesh; therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.'
4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown. {P}
5 And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.
7 And the LORD said: 'I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and creeping thing, and fowl of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them.'
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. {P}
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was in his generations a man righteous and whole-hearted; Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah: 'The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; with rooms shalt thou make the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall perish.
18 But I will establish My covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of the fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.'
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
