創世記５章
これは、アダムの世代を記した書物である。
神が人を創造された日、神に似せて人を造られた。
2 男と女を創造し、彼らを祝福して、その名をアダムと名づけた。
3 アダムは百三十年生きて、自分の姿に似せて子を産み、その名をセスと呼んだ。
4 セトを生んでからのアダムの日数は八百年であって、彼は息子と娘とを生んだ。
5 アダムが生きたすべての日は九百三十年であったが、彼は死んだ。
6 セトは百五年生きて、エノシュを生んだ。
7 セトはエノシュを生んでから八百七年生きて、息子と娘を生んだ。
8 セトのすべての日々は九百十二年であったが、彼は死んだ。
9 エノシュは九十年生きて、ケナンを生んだ。
10 エノシはケナンを生んでから八百十五年生きて、息子と娘とを生んだ。
11 エノシュの全生涯は九百五年であったが、彼は死んだ。
12 ケナンは七十年生きて、マハルアレルを生んだ。
13 ケナンはマハルレルを生んでから八百四十年生き、息子と娘とを生んだ。
14 ケナンのすべての日々は九百十年となり、彼は死んだ。
15 マハルエルは六十五年生きて、ヤレドを生んだ。
16 マハレルはヤレドを生んでから八百三十年生き、息子と娘とを生んだ。
17 マハルエルのすべての日々は八百九十五年であったが、彼は死んだ。
18 ヤレドは百六十二年生きて、エノクを生んだ。
19 ヤレドはエノクを生んでから八百年生き、息子と娘とを生んだ。
20 ヤレドのすべての日々は九百六十二年であったが、彼は死んだ。
21 エノクは六十五年生きて、メトシェラを生んだ。
22 エノクはメトシェラを生んでから三百年、神と共に歩み、息子や娘を生んだ。
23 エノクのすべての日々は三百六十五年であった。
24 エノクは神と共に歩み、神が彼を連れて行かれたからである。
25 メトシェラは百八十七年生きて、レメクを生んだ。
26 メトセラはレメクを生んでから七百八十二年生きて、息子と娘とを生んだ。
27 メトセラのすべての日数は九百六十九年であったが、彼は死んだ。
28 レメクは百八十二年生きて、男の子を生んだ。
29 彼はその名をノアと呼んで言った、「この者はわれわれの仕事と、主がのろわれた地から出るわれわれの手の労苦とに、われわれを慰めるであろう」。
30 レメクはノアを生んでから五百九十五年生き、息子と娘とを生んだ。
31 レメクのすべての日々は七百七十七年であったが、彼は死んだ。
32 ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハムおよびヤペテを生んだ。

エノシュの一生は九百五年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
ケナンは七十年生きて、マハラルエルを生んだ。
ケナンはマハラルエルを生んで後、八百四十年生き、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
ケナンの一生は九百十年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
マハラルエルは六十五年生きて、エレデを生んだ。
マハラルエルはエレデを生んで後、八百三十年生き、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
マハラルエルの一生は八百九十五年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
エレデは百六十二年生きて、エノクを生んだ。
エレデはエノクを生んで後、八百年生き、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
エレデの一生は九百六十二年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
エノクは六十五年生きて、メトシェラを生んだ。
エノクはメトシェラを生んで後、三百年、神とともに歩んだ。そして、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
エノクの一生は三百六十五年であった。
エノクは神とともに歩んだ。神が彼を取られたので、彼はいなくなった。
メトシェラは百八十七年生きて、レメクを生んだ。
メトシェラはレメクを生んで後、七百八十二年生き、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
メトシェラの一生は九百六十九年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
レメクは百八十二年生きて、一人の男の子を生んだ。
彼はその子をノアと名づけて言いました。
「主がこの地を呪われたゆえに、私達は働き、この手で苦労しているが、この私達に、この子は慰めを与えてくれるであろう。」
レメクはノアを生んで後、五百九十五年生き、息子、娘たちを生んだ。
レメクの一生は七百七十七年であった。こうして彼は死んだ。
ノアが五百歳になったとき、ノアはセム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him;
2 male and female created He them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.
4 And the days of Adam after he begot Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.
7 And Seth lived after he begot Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Kenan.
10 And Enosh lived after he begot Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 And Kenan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel.
13 And Kenan lived after he begot Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.
14 And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begot Jared.
16 And Mahalalel lived after he begot Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
17 And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years; and he died.
18 And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begot Enoch.
19 And Jared lived after he begot Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years; and he died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begot Methuselah.
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.
24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him.
25 And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty and seven years, and begot Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lived after he begot Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begot sons and daughters.
27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years; and he died.
28 And Lamech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begot a son.
29 And he called his name Noah, saying: 'This same shall comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, which cometh from the ground which the LORD hath cursed.'
30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begot sons and daughters.
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
