列王記第一７章
ソロモンは十三年の間、自分の家を建て、その家をすべて完成しました。
2 彼はレバノンの森に家を建てました。その長さは百キュビト、その幅は五十キュビト、その高さは三十キュビトで、四列の杉の柱の上に、その柱の上に杉の梁を立ててありました。
3 その側室の上は杉でおおわれ、一列に十五本ずつ、四十五本の柱の上に載っています。
4 梁は三列にあり、光は三列の光にむかってあります。
5 すべての戸とその柱とは枠の中で四角であり、光は三列の光に臨んでいました。
6 彼は柱で車寄せを造り、その長さは五十キュビト、その幅は三十キュビト、その前に車寄せを造り、その前に柱と太い梁を立てました。

20 また、二本の柱の上にも、網のそばにある腹の近くに柱頭があり、ざくろは二百個で、それぞれの柱頭に丸く並んでいました。

そして、彼は神殿の門口に二本の柱を立てました。
右の柱を立てて、その名をヤキンと呼び、
左の柱を立てて、その名をボアズと呼びました。

26 その厚さは手一幅ほどで、そのつばは杯のつばのように、また、ゆりの花のように細工され、二千の浴槽を満たしていました。
27 彼は真鍮で十個の台座を作りましたが、一つの台座の長さは四キュビト、その幅は四キュビト、その高さは三キュビトでした。
28 台の細工はこのとおりで、台には縁があり、台と台との間には縁がありました。

33 車輪の細工は戦車の車輪の細工に似ていて、その軸木、鋤、輻、へりはすべて溶けたものでした。
34 各台の四隅には四つの下台があり、その下台は台と一体でした。
35 台座の上には高さ半キュビトの円形のコンパスがあり、台座の上には台座とその縁が一体になったものがありました。
36 その台と縁の上にはケルビムとライオンと棕櫚の木とを、それぞれの間隔にしたがって刻み、その周囲に花輪を飾りました。
37 このようにして彼は十個の台座を作りましたが、それらはみな鋳型が一つで、寸法が一つで、形が一つでした。
38 彼は真鍮で十個の水盤を作りましたが、一つの水盤は四十個の浴槽を含み、どの水盤も四キュビトで、十個の基の上にそれぞれ一つの水盤がありました。
39 彼は家の右側に五つ、左側に五つの台を置き、また家の右側に東に向かって海を置き、南に向かって置きました。
40 またヒラムは鍋と、シャベルと、盆とを作りました。こうしてヒラムは主の宮でソロモン王のためにしたすべての仕事を終らせました。
41 二つの柱と、柱の頂上にある二つの鉢と、柱の頂上にある二つの鉢をおおう二つの網です。
42 また二つの網のためのざくろ四百個、網ごとに二列のざくろは、柱の頂上にある柱頭の二つの鉢をおおうためにありまし。
43 また十個の台と、その台の上にある十個の水盤。
44と、一つの海と、海の下にある十二の牛と。
45 鉢、シャベル、盆地、これらすべての器はヒラムがソロモン王のために、主の宮で作ったものであるが、すべて焼いた真鍮でした。
46 王はこれをヨルダンの平野で、サコトとザレタンとの間の土地の中に鋳造しました。
47 ソロモンはすべての器の重さを量らないままにしました。
48 ソロモンは主の宮にあるすべての器を作りました。金の祭壇と、パンをのせる台は金で造りました。
49 聖所の前の右側に五つ、左側に五つの燭台は純金で、花、ともしび、火ばさみは金で。
50 また、杯、燻し器、盆、鍋、火皿は純金で、内陣の戸、すなわち最も聖なる所の戸と、家の戸、すなわち神殿の戸の蝶番は金で造られました。
51 こうしてソロモン王が主の宮のために行ったすべての仕事は終わりました。ソロモンは父ダビデが捧げたもの、銀と金と器とを運び入れ、主の宮の宝物庫に納めました。

13 ソロモン王は人をやって、ツロからヒラムを呼んで来た。
14 彼はナフタリ族のやもめの子でした。彼の父はツロの人で、青銅の細工師でした。それでヒラムは青銅の細工物全般に関する知恵と、英知と、知識とに満ちていた。彼はソロモン王のもとにやって来て、そのいっさいの細工を行った。
15 彼は青銅で二本の柱を鋳造した。その一本の柱の高さは十八キュビト。周囲は他の柱といっしょに、ひもで測って十二キュビトでした。
16 彼は青銅で鋳造した二つの柱頭を作り、柱の頂に載せた。一つの柱頭の高さは五キュビト、もう一つの柱頭の高さも五キュビトでした。
17 柱の頂の柱頭に取りつけて、鎖で編んだ、ふさになった格子細工の網を、一方の柱頭に七つ、他の柱頭に七つ作った。
18 こうして彼は柱を作り、柱の頂にある柱頭をおおうために、青銅のざくろが格子網の上を二段に取り巻くようにし、他の柱頭にも同じようにした。
19 この玄関広間にある柱の頂の上の柱頭は、ゆりの花の細工であって、それは四キュビトでした。
20 二本の柱の上にある柱頭の格子網のあたりで丸い突出部の回りには、二百個のざくろが、両方の柱頭に段をなして並んでいた。
21 この柱を本堂の玄関広間の前に立てた。彼は右側に立てた柱にヤキンという名をつけ、左側に立てた柱にボアズという名をつけた。
22 この柱の頂の上には、ゆりの花の細工があり、このようにして、柱の造作は完成した。
23 それから、鋳物の海を作った。縁から縁まで十キュビト。円形で、その高さは五キュビト。その周囲は測りなわで巻いて三十キュビトでした。
24 その縁の下に沿って、ひょうたん模様が回りを取り巻いていた。すなわち、一キュビトにつき十ずつの割りでその海の周囲を取り巻いていた。このひょうたん模様は二段になっており、海を鋳たときに鋳込んだものである。
25 これは十二頭の牛の上に据えられていた。三頭は北を向き、三頭は西を向き、三頭は南を向き、三頭は東を向いていた。この海は、これらの牛の上に載せられており、牛の後部はすべて内側に向いていた。
26 その海の厚さは一手幅あり、その縁は、杯の縁のようにゆりの花の形をしていた。その容量は二千バテでした。
27 彼は青銅で十個の台を作った。おのおのの台は長さ四キュビト、幅四キュビト、高さ三キュビトでした。
28 この台の構造は次のとおり。台には鏡板があり、鏡板はわくにはまっていた。
29 わくにはめられている鏡板の上には、雄獅子と牛とケルビムとがあり、雄獅子と牛の上と下にあるわくの表面には花模様が鋳込んでした。
30 それぞれ台には青銅の車輪四つと、青銅の軸がついており、台の四隅には洗盤のささえがあり、そのささえは洗盤の下にあって、各表面が花模様に鋳られていた。
31 洗盤の口はささえの内側にあって、一キュビト上に出ており、その口は丸く、花模様の細工があって、一キュビト半あり、また、その口の上にも彫刻がしてあり、わくの鏡板は四角で、丸くなかった。
32 鏡板の下には四つの車輪があり、車軸は台に取りつけられ、一つの車輪の高さは一キュビト半でした。
33 その車輪の作りは戦車の車輪の作りと同じで、車軸も、輪縁も、輻も、こしきもみな、鋳物でした。
34 それぞれ台の四隅には四本のささえがあり、ささえと台とは一体をなしていた。
35 台の上部には高さ半キュビトの丸い部分が取り巻いており、その台の上のささえと鏡板とは一体をなしていた。
36 そのささえの表面と鏡板には、それぞれの場所にケルビムと、雄獅子と、なつめやしの木を刻み、その周囲には花模様を刻んだ。
37 彼は、以上のように、十個の台を作った。それらは全部、同じ鋳方、同じ寸法、同じ形でした。
38 ついで、彼は青銅で十個の洗盤を作った。洗盤の容量はそれぞれ四十バテ、それぞれ直径四キュビトでした。洗盤は、一つの台の上に一つずつ、十個の台の上にあった。
39 彼はその台の五個を神殿の右側に、五個を神殿の左側に置き、海を神殿の右側、すなわち、東南の方角に置いた。
40 さらに、ヒラムは灰つぼと十能と鉢を作った。こうして、ヒラムは主の宮のためにソロモン王が注文したすべての仕事を完成した。
41 すなわち、二本の柱と、二本の柱の頂にある丸い柱頭、および、柱の頂にある丸い二つの柱頭をおおう二つの格子網、
42 また、二つの格子網に取りつけた四百のざくろ、すなわち、柱の先端にある丸い二つの柱頭をおおうそれぞれの格子網のための二段のざくろ。
43 また、十個の台と、その台の上の十個の洗盤、
44 一つの海と、その海の下の十二頭の牛、
45 また、灰つぼと十能と鉢でした。ヒラムがソロモン王の注文により主の宮のために作ったすべての用具は、みがきをかけた青銅でした。
46 王は、ヨルダンの低地、スコテとツァレタンとの間の粘土の地で、これらを鋳造した。
47 ソロモンは、この用具があまりにも多かったので、みなそれを量らないままにしておいた。青銅の重さは量られなかった。
48 ついで、ソロモンは主の宮にあるすべての用具を作った。すなわち、金の祭壇と備えのパンを載せる金の机、
49 純金の燭台—内堂の右側に五つ、左側に五つ—、金の花模様、ともしび皿、心切りばさみを作った。
50 また、純金の皿と、心取りばさみ、鉢、平皿、火皿を純金で作った。また、至聖所に通じる神殿のとびらのちょうつがい、神殿の本堂に通じるとびらのちょうつがいも金で作った。
51 こうして、ソロモン王が主の宮のためにしたすべての工事が完成した。そこで、ソロモンは父ダビデが聖別した物、すなわち、銀、金、各種の器具類を運び入れ、主の宮の宝物倉に納めた。
And Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2 For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon: the length thereof was a hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
3 And it was covered with cedar above upon the side-chambers, that lay on forty and five pillars, fifteen in a row.
4 And there were beams in three rows; and light was over against light in three ranks.
5 And all the doors with their posts were square in the frame; and light was over against light in three ranks.
6 And he made the porch of pillars: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and thick beams before them.
7 And he made the porch of the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment; and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.
8 And his house where he might dwell, in the other court, within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom Solomon had taken to wife, like unto this porch.
9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside unto the great court.
10 And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
11 And above were costly stones, after the measure of hewn stones, and cedar-wood.
12 And the great court round about had three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams, like as the inner court of the house of the LORD, and the court of the porch of the house.
13 And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.
14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
15 Thus he fashioned the two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high each; and a line of twelve cubits did compass it about; [and so] the other pillar.
16 And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars; the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.
17 He also made nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars: seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
18 And he made the pillars; and there were two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pomegranates; and so did he for the other capital.
19 And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily-work, four cubits.
20 And there were capitals above also upon the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network; and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about upon each capital.
21 And he set up the pillars at the porch of the temple; and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin; and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.
22 And upon the top of the pillars was lily-work; so was the work of the pillars finished.
23 And he made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height thereof was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
24 And under the brim of it round about there were knops which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about; the knops were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
25 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set upon them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.
26 And it was a hand-breadth thick; and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; it held two thousand baths.
27 And he made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.
28 And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders; and there were borders between the stays;
29 and on the borders that were between the stays were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and upon the stays it was in like manner above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30 And every base had four brazen wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet thereof had undersetters; beneath the laver were the undersetters molten, with wreaths at the side of each.
31 And the mouth of it within the crown and above was a cubit high; and the mouth thereof was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also upon the mouth of it were gravings; and their borders were foursquare, not round.
32 And the four wheels were underneath the borders; and the axletrees of the wheels were in the base; and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33 And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel; their axletrees, and their felloes, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.
34 And there were four undersetters at the four corners of each base; the undersetters thereof were of one piece with the base itself.
35 And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays thereof and the borders thereof were of one piece therewith.
36 And on the plates of the stays thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm-trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.
37 After this manner he made the ten bases; all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.
38 And he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths; and every laver was four cubits; and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.
39 And he set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house; and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.
40 And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of the LORD:
41 the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars;
43 and the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;
44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;
45 and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of the LORD, were of burnished brass.
46 In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.
47 And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many; the weight of the brass could not be found out.
48 And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the showbread was, of gold;
49 and the candlesticks, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the Sanctuary, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50 and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the pans, and the fire-pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, that is, of the temple, of gold.
51 Thus all the work that king Solomon wrought in the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
